Thumbs down Blah - Refused mfr coupons (multiples)

Planned my trip tonight:

6 Aussies for $20 less 3 $2/2's for $14
3 Razors @ $4.99 less $3/1's for $6

Cost $20 - Get $20 catalinas

Cashier told me she could only take 1 aussie coupon. I said no. Im buying 6. (all the same shampoo)

Nope. Wouldnt budge.

I said never mind then, and walked out.

(sigh). Have to find another cashier... She said if she did it, she'd get fired.

oh well.

Tomorrow's another day.

Call, call, call corporate
All they need to know is that cashier wouldn't take 9 coupons on 9 items.
They don't need to know what the coupons are.
It's the only way the cashiers will get trained correctly

I had this happen on the bandaids last on Saturday. I was buying 6 other items with coupons and I had 10 different boxes of the bandaids. The store had already removed all the sale signs for the week, so I didn't know which ones were on sale. I took up different ones withing the count rang of 30-40 as the ad stated. Of course only 3 of the ones I grabbed were the ones for $1, so I told her I would go back and get more of the $1 ones for my other coupons. She took all my coupons with no problem for the first order. I go back in the store and grabbed the last 6 boxes they had and got back in line. When she rang them up she said that she couldn't take any more coupons for these items. She called the shift supervisor over and kept saying, "she just used 3 coupons on these and now she wants more". I explained to the shift supervisor that I originally had 10 in my hand with the 10 coupons, but since their sale signs were down, I didn't know which were on sale, and she had no problem taking my multiple coupons for the first order. She told her to go ahead and take them. The cashier was really reluctant and kept saying that it wasn't right me getting the items for free. I got them free the first time too, I just think that she only noticed it when I was only getting the bandaids by themselves. The shift supervisor made a statement about how the Store Manager would never let someone use that many coupons. It was too late on Saturday to call Corp, but I will be sending an email.

I had problems yesterday. I bought 2 of the Secret Clinical (my mom LOVES this stuff) and the coupons kept beeping, the cashier said they've changed the system and you can only use a certain # of coupons. After she said this for the 5th time, I said you know you're wrong, so find a new excuse, the new excuse was they are already on sale, so it won't take another $1 off. The registers are programmed that way. Then the "asst. mgr" agreed. I said fine, I'll be back tomorrow to talk to the store mgr.
I told them that was seriously the worst customer service I've had in a long time and I would be back and would be emailing corp. The asst mgr. rolled her eyes and walked away.
I can't wait to get back in there this morning.

Yeah this is like my prob last week or so when I have $ 2 olay and got rain check they would refussed to use multiple coupons . both cashier and manager say no I can't use multiple coupons. and the coupons was wording like one pur purchase so long story short after stand and argued I said ok can you give me your store address and my coupons back and my rain checked back .I was thinkning of writing email to corp for the situation to find out what is it about. but I haven't yet.

so if anyone you already got answer from the corp about this issue please update whats going on at Walgreens. So I think they might have changed their policies or something? Buy the way the new wording on Aussies not siad one per purchase. so I hope I can do the P& G deals.

I put it off today, I was too busy with other things. But I did send an email to corp. I told them what happened and I requested their policy in writing to be sent to me at home. I'll probably get in there tomorrow. I'll let ya know what responses I get.

I haven't gotten an answer back from corp. about the coupon policy, but I went back to the store and that mgr. bent over backwards to make sure I was happy! I didn't know what to say. I haven't been treated that good in a long time. I told him I would email corp again to tell them how great he was.

I had the same problem today. I bought 9 items for the P&G catalina deal (buy 9 pictured items get 2 $10 catalinas). 3 of the items I bought were the Zest bodywash. I had 7 manufacturer coupons and 2 $10 catalinas. She scanned the catalinas first and they came off, then she scanned the .35 Zest coupon and it beeped. She said I probably couldn't use coupons with the catalinas; they had had problems earlier. I explained that if I had 9 items I should be able to use 9 coupons. She then scanned another coupon and it came off. The Zest coupons wouldn't scan and she wouldn't let me use them even though I clearly had the correct product. She said she would get fired if she used them since the manager had just said that if it beeps they can't be pushed through. She's normally very nice about deals and coupons, so the manager must have come down hard. It was only $1.05 in coupons, so I didn't push the matter, but did say that anytime I bought the Zest, catalina deal or not, that coupon was going to beep. She agreed, but wouldn't put the coupon through. The assistant manager was called too and he said the same thing. If the manager said no, then they couldn't put them through. Doesn't seem right to me, especially when they can see I bought the right product for the coupon.

I had the same thing happen today with an 'Executive Manager'. I got the one per purchase line. He said he couldn't take the last 3 coupons and that the first 2 probably said the same thing but he didn't check them and already scanned them so he was going to let those go. Oy! So I said it's per item purchased not per transaction and if I purchased 5 boxes of cereal and had 5 coupons they would go through fine. So he tried to scan it and guess what? Miracles of miracles it scanned! Then he tried the second one and he must have been covering the barcode because it didn't do anything. Finally after 10 seconds or so it finally went through. And then the third.

Believe it or not this is the condensed version. It was a lot of stress but in the end I ended up paying $7 (gift/rebate card) and got back 2 $10 catalinas. I held my breath hoping he wouldn't have issues with the cats but he just stuffed them in my bag and off I sprinted to my van.
