I woke up at 5pm this afternoon to get ready for a 12 hour shift tonight and when I went to the restroom there was bright red blood when i wiped (sorry TMI) and the water in the toilet was stained red. I immediately called in to work (i work at a hospital), and they called down to the ER to let them know i was on my way. I called my DH and he was almost home from work. We went straight to the ER, where they drew blood and did an ultrasound and pelvic exam. The babies looked good on the ultrasound (good heartbeats, moving around), but there was a subchorionic bleed. the pelvic exam went ok, he said there was some blood, but my cervix was closed, high, and thick. so i am on bed rest until Friday at least. I have to call Friday and talk with my doctor and possibly get an appointment for follow up that day. I was told if i had cramping (which i have not had) or increase in bleeding to go back to the ER. the bleeding has slowed ALOT and is very scant now. This was such a scary experience. i am thankful for a good prognosis, but still scared. as usual i will keep you guys updated on any changes.
