just curious how many of you got bottles as gifts despite ppl knowing that you would be BFing???

3 ppl end up buying me bottles: first one was from my in-laws at the babyshower, i thought fair enough, i have a bottle for if i have to leave her and she needs a fed, so now i wont need to get one (was planning on buying one bottle for expressed milk)
the second my mother brought after i had BFing established, it was one that had a breast shaped teat so to help avoid nipple confusion. She brought me that for my expressed milk cos the little one that MIL brought wouldn't be big enough and also for the teat.
the last 3 (yes 3) were brought by my nan, she told me that she knew i was BFing but they could be used for juice later (i didn't have the heart to tell her that by the time Gabby would be having anything other than bm she would be at least 6 months and by that age i would be starting her on a cup)

anyway the one mum brought has been used twice; once with express cos i went out and then with formula cos MIL insisted that she must not be getting enough (turns out she was having her 6 weeks grow spurt). MIL little one has been used quite a bit, once cos mum had Gabby while i caught up on some much needed sleep, so she gave her just a little bit of express to tie her over for a little while (this is what lead mum to getting the other bottle) and other time was a bit of water with brown sugar cos Gabby got constipated from the formula, the rest of the time it was used to collect express milk (nice shape and size and it has measurements on the side so i can see how much i have gotten). The three that my nan brought haven't been touched
