Default Braxton -Hicks already????

The last 4 days I have been noticing after I do a lot in one day that when I sit down I start to feel my belly get very tight and uncomfortable, release , and then a few minutes later...probably 6-10 minutes in between....it happens again. I have only been having 4 or 6 of these happen at a time and then it stops.
I didn't know you could have braxton hicks so early? Should I call the doctor?

I had the same thing when I was around 18-22 weeks. Life was just kinda hectic! BH contractions happen super early on in pregnancy, but it isn't till about this point that you can start to feel them. Supposed to drink lots of water, rest, take it easy... easier said than done, I know! hehe!

Good luck!

Ditto. Drink plenty of water, remember to take breaks, put your feet up, it makes a difference.

Everyime I get BH contractions that are annoying and bothersome, I go to the bathroom and they are instantly gone! And I feel a TON better, too!

I agree with all the PP

I had them VERY early with Kaydee....but turns out they werent BH after all...I was really dilating and all.

Doesnt sound like the case for you, since they are annoying and not super painful.

Make sure to keep your bladder empty, drink a ton, and when you feel them coming on REST!! No heavy lifting either...i know that always started it with me

Well I ended up going to the doc on Friday.
After an examination he told me I have a yeast infection (blah!) and that's what is causing the BH. He said it's normal and ok to have BH this early, as long as they're not happening 6 to an hour...I'd had 4 on the way to the office.
So let's see what happens with the meds.

I had Braxton-Hicks contractions very early (20 weeks) with my 3rd child. Some were so intense I had to pull over the car while driving. They were definitely B-H though since they were irregular. I think every person and every pregnancy is different. I would suggest calling your doctor if you are concerned.

I am still having these BH. yesterday they were even more uncomfortable. I had about 6-8 within 30 minutes and when my belly would tighten I'd have to pee REALLY bad.
What is going on? Should I be worried?
