That's a great solution. I used to have a blouse that could be opened via velcro over the breast - just looked like the baby was snuggling.

I fed him on a plane and in an airport in front of lots of people and no one was the wiser. How nice the baby was quiet and sleeping.

I might have to look into one of these things! For me, it's not only the fact that I don't like people seeing me breastfeed, but I also would be uncomfortable with anyone I'm with to know I'm doing it (in front of them)... I don't know why! But I'll have to look into this tank top. I've seen them before but never gave much thought!

I definetely need more 'discreet' tops, too! I don't feel comfy doing it in front of others, either, and am always going out to the car to nurse. But with winter fast approaching, that may not always be an option! However, there is only one store near here that sells nursing tops and they are $60 or so - way too much!

My baby has to be really really hungry to breastfeed in public. She is too interested in everything else and likes to flirt with people. So I usually do it in the car and sometimes that doesn't work because she would rather look at people though the window. She is just easily distracted!

Okay not to be a nay sayer. . .just to offer another perspective for those of you who may be better endowed. . .I hated these with a passion. It just didn't work well enough and it was not as easy as it looked. Not enough of the nipple could get through and in a comfortable spot for me to feed the baby.

Something that did work for me was wearing my spouse's tank top ('cuz you know men's tank tops have bigger holes for the arms) underneath something of mine. Much easier access--but doesn't expose as much skin.
