Default breastfeeding and migraine

Hi, my name is Jamie and I’m a breastfeeding mom to a 4-month young baby girl. I’ve started migraines again and this time, I feel it’s gotten worse. I stopped taking fioricet when I found out I was pregnant and now that the migraine is severe, I feel like going back to it. Are there any other breastfeeding moms here who take/took fioricet? Any info? Thanks.

I’m also a breastfeeding mom and a migraine sufferer, Jamie. I also take fioricet but haven’t tried it when I was pregnant because luckily, I’ve had I guess only a couple of bad attacks. And I just took Tylenol for it. So I suggest that you talk to your doctor about it and see if you can take Tylenol or fioricet for the heavy attacks.

I agree I would definitely contact your doctor, or your pedi to see what kind of effect there would be on your little girl.

I hope you start feeling better soon!

you may find this link helpful. But it seems that fioricet is ok to take while breastfeeding
