A lot of those people are no longer on this board. So yeah, we could have the conversation again and you'd probably get different type answers.

You teach them not to just like you teach them not to touch a light socket or pull down knick knacks.
And just to correct the above statement (you know I have to right?) WHO, along with the AAP and UNICEF all say you should breastfeed until the mom and/or child no longer want to. WHO says you should feed a
minimum of 2 years.
I said this in the other thread too though--I encourage bfing until 2 and then after that I neither encourage it or discourage it. Every single one of my children (twins included) have weaned between 3 1/2 and 4. So when I hear of someone nursing until age 8--I'm wondering what's being done to 'encourage' that relationship. I would think that in most cases, an 8yo would simply have other things to do.
