I dont mean to be mean but I dont understand if you did not need/want an item why youd do it on all of your cards just to donate or something. I need/want the stroller but I can almost guarantee you that my store will be out of them. I dont understand why people clear the shelves and max out deals on all cards of items they dont even need/want. If Im lucky enough to find one Ill be thrilled. I could always use more for shower gifts but Id rather leave it for someone else who needs/wants one rather than get one on all my cards and keep someone else from even getting one. JMO

Well I can guarentee I won't be after a Stroller cuz there are no babies in my family.
However CVS jsut never does seem to carry much stock.
I wish you luck in getting your stroller.
BUT I can explain why I personally buy things i don't need personally..
In my family there is a generic disability which causes many adult relatives to be iving on low income disability.
I use my card.. I can get 5 listerine for example.. and I did ..but I cannot use the item myself because of allergies.
However my disabled low income relatives will happily use it.
Does that make sense to you?

I only have my own card, no others.

When I purchase an item I do not want or need it is usually because it is a money maker for me to do so. Last week I purchased the Just for me Hair Softener kit thing...not because I needed it but because it was free after ECB's and I had a coupon so I profitted $1 for that item. Sometimes the items go to family/friends and other times it gets added to the donation pile. This week I purchase the Aleve and Excedrin both because I use it but also because not only was it free after ECB but I profitted $4.00 after mfg/crt coupons I used. This deal does interest me because many of my friends are having children now and I know I will be able to use the stroller as a gift and with formula checks & coupons I have, it will cost me almost nothing to get it.
Good luck in getting a stroller though.

Definately that makes sense and I have no problem with that I LOVE to help others too. What I mean is when people say they are going to max a deal on all their cards - meaning more than 1- but dont even have a specific purpose in mind. If they want to donate one get one and be generous why not but why do it on several cards and keep someone else who could benefit from the deal from getting one. And I dont mean this toward any one person just the general idea of its free so Ill take as many as I can even if I have nothing to do with them that kinda gets to me.
I guess I am just tired of going to my local store early Sunday morning and everything being gone because there is one or two people who clear the shelf. So, Perhaps Im just bitter lol
I mean after all I can afford a cheap umbrella stroller but Id like to have one free buying products that I need and its irritating to know someone else is getting 3or 4 or 5 and have no idea what they will do with them and then when I get there they will all be gone.
Seriously though I did not mean this toward anyone particular its just the original post I was refferring to made me think about how many people do this. Not trying to pick on anyone. After all alls fair in Love and CVS! But please just try to be considerate if you dont need it or dont know of someone who does then just think oh I know someone who needs it-- the person whos coming to the store after me and really wants one --so leave one behind for them as your good deed instead.

Yes, I too use the freebies I don't personally use as a "vehicle" to get me to the point needed to gain something else free that I do use and want for myself.
This week the liserine, softsoap (That I'll give away) and good use of mfg coupons allowed me to also use a $4 / 20 coupon so along with other mfg coupons and I managed 3 Herbal Essances shampoo and 3 Herbal Essances Conditioners for FREE that I myself will definatly use.

Well, since this was directed at me, I am in a small, rural town and can tell you that there will be lots of strollers left. I have been having problems finding some things here and there since they never seem to stock many of each item and the 5 limit can clear things out here, but this isn't an area with a lot of couponers. I'm sure there are maybe one or two other people who do the ECB deals here. The way the cashiers act sometimes, I would think I was the only one, but I can tell that at least one other person must do the deals. I only have the card for myself and my dh has one, so I don't have a bunch of cards. Last time they had the strollers there were some leftover and at some point I saw sell them and eventually clearance them. I would rather donate them now then see them sit there for months again.
Good luck on getting one, though. When I do shop in the Columbus area when there are super doubles at the grocery stores or even for ECB deals I do come across the same empty shelves. I know how it is when you live in a coupon/deal competitive area. I am by no means a "shelf clearer" and I always leave coupons I'm not going to use for others.

Some people who belong to these boards get a " high " from getting free stuff, reguardless of what the item is. bargain hunting and couponing is great and all, but for some it really is an addiction, and they cannot seem to pass up on a great deal or freebie no matter if they will use it or not. A couple of boards I visit here and there are sometimes really pathetic such as talking about using coupons on a gazillion trial sized items, or getting 20 deodorants for free or next to free with coupons. I admit that I might take a couple of extra minutes at the register because I have coupons... but let me tell you... I really think it is rude for someone to hold up a line at a store just because they want a high from getting a gazillion free trial sized items. I think people like this really need to get a life.

I would get a gazillion free trial sized items if:
1) I could get paid for them, and use that money for something else.
2) I really use the product
3) See #1
Example. Aleve/Flu meds. I have a stash in the cabinet, that I may or may not ever use. They PAID me to buy it from them, with coupons and all, so why WOULDN'T I get like 4 advil, or 4 flu med, if they PAY me $1 each, and I get $4 free to buy something else.
OK. So thats not a gazallion. It's 4. But its an idea

No, I am talking about the people who simply just buy whatever, just because it's free without having any use for it whatsoever. I agree, I will buy the meds if they are " paying " me to take it at CVS. But I just get a kick out of people who say they go to the register at Target or Walmart with 60 or more coupons and use them just for trial size items, then they complain because of the cashier giving them a hard time. It just wastes everones time... the cashier, the customers waiting in line who may have ice cream melting in thier cart!!!!!!!!! I have actually have started to sell some of my CVS stuff on Ebay. I need braces so the money will come in handy also!!

I can't speak for anyone else but I only max out on the items I use.
