Default Calendar Software

I am very excited to be a part of the forum, thank you for having me. I am hoping that I am tapping into a national resource. I am very blessed in that I have a very involved family. We spend a lot of time together and we are a very close family. With that said my wife and I both work outside of the home so we have to schedule our time as best as possible. My jobs lends me a lot of very useful computer equipment and I am very computer savvy. I have approxiately 7 computers throughout the house controlling everything from e-mail to movies, to music, and more. One thing I have not been able to control is a universal calendar that the entire family can use. Ideally it would be one that would have the ability to project the daily agenda up on a seperate screen that is located by the garage door where we all leave for the day.
Has anyone heard of such an animal or is it an untapped market that I need to look into?
Thank you again!

You can get a big cheap wipe off calender at walmart. Then all you need to do is "plug in" the dates, events and schedule in to. You really don't need anything too fancy.

There are a number of different type calendars out there. Part of it depends on the type of operating system you are running. MAC or Windows and the version. There is also just a basic online calendar, have you tried creating a Yahoo family group? or a place like http://www.calendars.net/ On a Mac system you can set it so you have a group calendar using ical. I am not sure of the best one for a windows system. I use an online calendar so I can update it from any computer.

Default Cozi.com for families

I'm using Cozi, a free software/online tool to do family calendars and more. What you describe is doable with Cozi. You can use it in both mac and pc. You can add events that apply to one or multiple members of your family, you click the tab for the family member that you want and so on. Very helpful. And now, it even syncs with Outlook. Did you try any other calendars? I use Lotus Notes at work so though I love cozi for use at home, I haven't been able to create a good sync with my work calendar.
