Default Calling all Mums - Desperately seeking Bunny replacement

Hi there

Today, my 18 month old daughter dropped her beloved bunny on the bus and is absolutely heartbroken! I had no idea how attached she was to him until now and I've had an absolute nightmare getting her to bed tonight without him.

I'm desperately searching for a replacement and wanted to ask all Mums out there to have a quick look through unwanted soft toys gathering dust on shelves to see whether you may have a Bunny as Adams don't make them anymore.

We bought him at Adams in December 2003. The tag for him says Little Bundle. He is about palm size, pale pink (very soft, almost velvet material) with darker pink stitching for his nose, eyes, whiskers and belly button. Half his body is stuffed with small beads. His most distinguishing feature is he has the word Bunny and a small flower stitched on the sole of one of his feet.

I have a photo which I can email anyone who thinks they may be able to help.

My email address is dseroper@hotmail.com.

Thanks so much for your help.

Default Try Ebay

Hey Dee-Dee. So sorry to hear about your bunny loss. Have you tried checking ebay? I use ebay a lot and they have everything. You should definitely be able to find a stuffed bunny similar to the one you lossed. Hope this helps!

Default Bunny Replacement

Oh, I really feel for you. You're living one of my own nightmares! My son has a stuffed puppy that he can not live without. By the time I realized I should have a spare, it was too late to get a duplicate. I watch that puppy like I watch my wallet! I'm so sorry for your loss.

My son is in college, but tucked under his mattress at home is still the bedraggled remains of "Tom Kitten" . We used to think that thing would go to college with him, but it did not. He left it in a taxi once when he was 3 years old. They must have thought I was nuts because I kept calling them every day looking for this thing. They did find it two weeks later.
But during that two weeks we had sleepless nights, and he would moan while he was asleep "I wanna sleep with a BROWWWNNN KIIITTYYY!" Then he figured that Tom Kitten was having all sorts of wonderful adventures in the taxi and pretended to talk to him by radio. It got a little strange because sometimes he would answer me in the Tom Kitten voice.
When the taxi people found it, there was great rejoicing over the prodigal kitty! They have such great attachments to these loveys.

Default Holding on to Lovies

Reading these stories about loss just makes me more sure that I'm doing the right thing when it comes to my son's little dog.
His dog has a little loop attached to his head. I attached a key ring (just the ring) to the zipper of my son's jacket and whenever we go out, I put his doggie on the key ring. He can throw him if he wants to, but that little dog is coming home with us!

The ring is such a great idea! That way he can give up the doggie when he is ready, not just because he lost it.
Let's hope the loop doesn't rip.....

Default Holding on to Lovies

Shortly after I wrote my last post here, I went to Michael's (the craft supply store) and happened upon the BEST thing for parents! They had packages of 10 spring clips on key rings! Now I don't have to wrestle with attaching his toy to a key ring whenever we go out. I have a little spring clip attached to ever zipper pull he has! Now I clip his doggie to his jacket with just a slip of the thumb. It was well worth the $2 for the package.
