They are putting the kitty up for adoption in the UK - apparently the family can't deal with what happened, and the cat has some psychological damage. For one thing, afraid of being alone, and for another, afraid of enclosed spaces.
It isn't easy to adopt out a 10 year old cat with mental health issues. I hope some attentive cat lover takes her in.
