Wink cats or dogs?

When i was little my parents always had dogs, usually big pyrranean mountain dogs or german shepherds. When i had my own children i preferred cats, having upto 15 - 20 cats at one point.. Now my children are older i got 2 small collies mixes, then a rotweiller, and now added to the family is a great dane mix... I dont have as many cats as i used to i now only have 5..
Just wondered who prefers cats to dogs or vice versa? I actually prefer cats, but i have even taken up serious dog training a couple of years ago (Cesar Milan style)!

I like animals in general, cats are my favorite. But pets I like to own are cats and hamsters.

Dogs for sure...i am not a cat person.
I like others peoples cats, just don't want them in my house. Although we did have cats when we lived in an apartment only because we couldn't have a dog.

I have a cat because they are easier, and my life for the past 30 years or so has not really been good for having a dog. Too much responsibility.

However, once I buy a house of my own and am out of this rental, I will get a dog. Catzilla will just have to deal with it. He thinks he is king cat, and is way too bossy. I really miss having a dog. I let my friend bring her dog on the leash into my house once. Catzilla stood his ground, hissing, spitting, growling. He was WAAAY up on his tippytoes, and I never knew he could arch his back at a 90 degree angle. But now when he hears the neighbors dogs barking in the back yard (on all three sides of the house) he is very afraid. He tries to hide behind the plants, and he is so big he really cannot hide too well. So I will have to find the right dog to fit with him - one that doesn't eat cats, and one that doesn't get beat up by them either.

Not having raised my kids in a household with dogs, like I was, I see that they missed out now that they are adults. They are fearful and hesitant around dogs, and really don't understand the joys of having one.
