I can't believe this. It's just heartbreaking. My whole town is in morning. I am posting this here in general forums, although I know that many of us have discussed this in different topic categories. If you are of the praying kind, these families would benefit.

See this is why I hate when people are on cell phones while they are driving.... It's not just when people talk on their phones, people think they can drive and text at the same time and it won't work. A car is a deadly weapon and people need to respect that and stay off their phones (whether it be talking OR texting) and pay attention to driving!

I don't mean you should talk - but I understand how that is possible. But using your hands for texting - and your eyes? I just don't see that.

i am not proud of myself at all but when i was younger i used to text and drive. It isnt easy and it DEFINATLY isnt safe. I dont know how I didnt get into an accident at all. I think I was more cautious though I usually waited until I was at a light or stop sign. I DO NOT do this anymore after a girl in my highschool ended up in a deadly accident. She was going too fast and texting her boyfriend she hit a guard rail going around a corner and her car flipped. It killed the three other passengers her younger sister and her two cousins one older one younger. This happened on her 16th birthday in her brand new mustang her parents got her for her birthday. She was pretty badly hurt but the only survivor. Pretty scary to me so thats when i stopped it. I try very hard not to talk when I drive but there are a few occasions where i am guilty of that

If it was just after midnight, how in the world was he trying to do it in the dark, as well as drive?

i dont know what happened, but here in PA they were trying to make texting and driving illegal. I know in NJ if you have anything in your hands other then a steering wheel its illegal...including eating (which i am VERY guilty of all the time ) They really need to enforce a no cell phone policy in every state,country, whatever

I just think it should be illegal to talk/text on your phone while you are driving your vehicle....I have almost be plowed when a person ran a red light because they have not been paying attention...now I look both ways before I proceed across the intersection.

Its just sad that people just don't "get it"
