Default Central Air Conditioning

Everybody just loves central air conditioning ......until it breaks.

In early May, DH had accidently paid ahead over $1,000 on our electric bill.
He thought that the 'cr' meant he had to pay.
That was amazing that we had extra paid ahead.

Well, I turned on the air conditioner today, before we left for DS#2 to leave
to go to FL with the church youth group. Close the windows, shut the doors,
you know how this goes.

When I returned home, was certain it would be nice and cool.
A little warm yet when I returned, but figured it was really hot today.

I got home from having my ink anti-theft tag removed from the dress I am taking
with me tomorrow. DH is finally home from work with the news, "The air conditioning is broken."

Am hoping they'll either be able to see us early AM or on Monday to get it fixed.
I do not like this heat or humidity.

Good thing for ceiling fans, portable fans, ice water.

Anybody else with this heat issue?

I am so so grateful for ac! The humidity in St. Louis gets pretty bad (well, you'll soon see) and our electric company is pretty bad with power outages during storms. I feel ya. Stay cool.

I hope it gets fixed soon!

I grew up in a house that didn't have any form of AC. My parents still don't have AC! They refuse to get it! We have had it in both of our apartments, and I can't believe I lived w/o it for so long!

Mr. Air Conditioner Man came today about 0800.
He is a neighbor and does this fulltime.

Initially we thought $350 for some parts.
Nope. We are talking $1720 for the full central air.
It is not good news, but better than I'd hoped.

Since he is a neighbor, I am leaving him a key to finish the job alone.
DH is at work.
DS#1 and I have a train to catch to get to St. Louis!

DS#1 is in a big wedding tomorrow as a groomsman.

I'm ready for St. Louis!
