Question changing patterns in marriage

In a recent blog I talked of changing paterns in marriage eg the honeymoon stage, etc. http://marriage.families.com/blog/ch...ns-in-marriage Mary Ann left an interesting question. Is it possible to be in more than one stage at a time? What do you think?

I think so. Our honeymoon stage didn't really happen until we had been married a few years and had a baby. When we were first married we were still getting to know each other better, we dated for 6 months. But after we had our first child and I saw the way they were together, I felt like I couldn't love him anymore than I did at that moment. It felt like that euphoric love they talk about in the movies. That's the great thing about marriage, it's allways changing and growing.

I have to agree with mrmnmom82 my husband and I were together almost 5 years before we got married and it seems like we haven't gotten to the honeymoon stage until now and we're a year into the marriage. Now that we're expecting a baby and I guess just done some individual growing. I guess that's why they say you may forever "love" your spouse but you can fall in and out of love over and over depending on what's going on in the relationship.
