Just a note about the Chicagoland/Illinois Adoption Triad support group
Just a note about the Illinois, Chicagoland area adoption triad support group for Adoptees (18 and older) Birth Parents and Adoptive Parents and anyone else touched by adoption. It meets the 3rd Thursday of each month- at Faith Evangelical Covenant Church in Wheaton Illinois- 2001 Lakeview Drive at Butterfield Rd. (Also called Route 56) For best directions go to www.faithecc.org and click on "Directions" from the Index.
SPECIAL NOTE: We meet year round but in the winter months we watch the weather- it is is only light snow, we meet- but if there is heavy snow or very icy roads or blizzard like conditions we likely would not meet. To contact Jody, the Facilitator, reunited adoptee go to www.adoptionblessingsnewsletter.com and send me an e-mail from the website. I will be checking my mail through out the day and afternoon before the meetings- so can answer e-mails regarding if the meeting will go on or if bad weather would cause us to cancel.
Please share about this group with friends, relatives or online friends you know touched by adoption who live in the Chicagoland area or suburbs, Thanks,
Jody Moreen

New Adoption Triad group possibly forming in Hinsdale IL.
Hi from Jody Moreen from the 1st post on this thread, I facilitate the adoption triad support group Adoptees, Birth Parents and Adoptive Parents Together support group that meets in Wheaton IL.(mentioned in 1st post above) Another long term member of the Wheaton group and I are considering beginning another monthly adoption triad support group to meet in Hinsdale, IL at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Hinsdale, near downtown Hinsdale on Garfield Rd. For more information contact Jody at adoption@wideopenwest.com This likely will be day time group (but not set in stone ) if there is enough interest to begin another group- closer to Chicago and some other suburbs. We have been posting notes in the local newspapers there to see if there is interest.
If you know persons that may be interested in attending a group like this- please share this post with them!
