Default Chicken Pox

Josh seems to have Chicken Pox. My older three have all had it so I'm just waiting for Libby to get it. Can you send us some non itchy vibes please?

Get some aloe vera gel or cream, I don't know if you can get it from supermarkets but you can definitely get it from Holland and Barratt, keep it in the fridge, it stops itching really well and stops their skin drying out a lot from the pox.

non itchy vibes sent! here alot of people use the classic pink calamine lotion, but my family always used caladryl clear. which is calamine & a few other things & doesn't leave you looking like the pink panther.

We're currently using calamine cream and Eurax which is an anti itch cream. He does'nt seems too bad with it. At least he's had it now and it'll be all over with before he starts school in sept.

Libby got it last week and she had it soo much worse than Josh. She picked the worse week to get them too, it was over a 100 degrees here last week. She has some on her thighs go infected so she was put on anti b's. They are drying up now though.

Sending non itchy vibes your way!! Also, put some oatmeal (uncooked and minus the brown sugar and milk...) into an old stocking and place it in the tub..get the healing/non itchy goodness of the oatmeal with out to great a mess...can also use the stocking as a sort of gentle loofah too...then just hang it to dry on the fawcett...it can be used several times before needing to be replaced!!

Oh dear, the pox is in the house! The aloe vera is good for cooling the irritation, and the calamine for the itching. We found aveeno was a good soap to use, and also I have found that putting cornstarch as a paste on really awful areas can help. I did that with hives for allergies.
