This was one of those movies, that when I was watching it I thought I didn't really like it. But aftrwards found myself tinking about it constantly! I watched it over a week ago and here I'm even posting about it!
Now I don't know if that means I liked it, or that it seriously traumatized me. Either way, the movie did its job!
The movie takes place in 2027 (I think?) and for 18 years there has not been one child born. The world is falling into chaos and somewhere in the movie someone says "its amazing what happens to this world without the sound of children." It is just awful. Think of Iraq but 10 times worse and all over. Then they find a young girl who is 8 months pregnant and the entire time they are trying to save her and her baby. There's this one specific war scene (I want to add that the camera angles are EXCELLENT in the war scenes) and when she comes out with the baby, everyone falls silent for a few minutes and I swear to you I cried.
What a sad movie. But its one that makes you think.. I recommend this for anyone who can handle the subject. Its worth watching, and definately a very unique film.
