I last posted here back in 2006.
Now it's 2008 and I still love my chiro and still go see him once a month without fail.
That's my plan, once a month forever now.
Keeping my spine as subjegated as possible has made a huge differance in my life.

That said, I must also say that a 9-month trial with no results at all would make me stop.
My Chiro does me a great deal of good, but they can't help with all problems and you may have one they can't help with.

Believe it or not, I learned that "stress" can cause your body not to absorb calcium. Instead of the calcium being used properly in your bones, and other places, it is deposited in useless places, like hair, and in the form of bone spurs, etc.

I agree stress can result in the non-absorption or mis-use of a lot of things our body needs.

But bone spurs can be an excellant help if they grow in the right direction.

Spurs are the only thing the body can grow to try to protect it's skeleton when it detects something is wrong in the skeleton's alignment.

The bone spurs on the spine are the body's method of trying to stablize the spine after the discs begin to shrink.
(OA causes the discs to shrink and the joints then rub together causeing pain and damage of the edges of that joint)
Our body is darn good and smart.
If it can grow enough spurs growing in the proper direction then they create a natural fusion to stablize the spine.
I believe that's where the surgens got the idea for back fusion surgery!

However if they grow crooked they can be very disruptive and VERY painful.

My cousin had to have one surgically removed from his neck since it was preventing him from swollowing properly.

Thankfully mine on my spine are all growing properly.

The ones on my heels are a problem, but I understand my body grew them trying to help stablize my foot which didn't work and causes pain.

Now about absorbing calcium.....
TRUE it needs absorbed for muscle health.
The body has to do more than absorb it.
It has to use it for building blocks for strong bones.
Bone formations result from 2 kinds of cells.
One builds and the other tears down.

Osteoporosis is the name we give to the thin bones resulting from the slowing down of cells that build bone.
As we age the building cells slow down (so we don't get taller after we are "grown up")
But the cells that tear down do not slow down.
Those bone building cells still need calcium to build with, but they build a lot slower than they did when we were young. So not as much calcium is actually used.
When the tearing down happens faster than the building it results in oseoporosis (not osteoarthritis).

Hi,

I've been to a chiropractor in bakersfield county. I've been taking treatment since 3 weeks. The results of recovery are OK.. It's really mandatory to find out a right chiropractor for scoliosis, back pain problems..
