I like The Nestle Toll House Best Loved Recipes book. I got it at a bookfair at the school I teach at. Very easy recipes AND they show LOTS of pictures so you know what they are supposed to look like! These look really Christmasy and cute!!!
Mini Chip Snowball Cookies
1 2/2 cups (3 sticks) of butter or margarine - softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tbs vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups all purpose flour
2 cups (12 oz package) Semi sweet chocolate mini morsels (Nestle)
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
Extra powdered sugar for toppping.
Preheat over to 375
Beat butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt in large mixing bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour; stir in morsels and nuts.
Shape level tablespoons of dough into 1 1/4 in round balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are set and lightly browned. Remove from oven. Sift powdered sugar over hot cookies on baking sheets. Cool on backing sheets for 10 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. Sprinkle with additional powdered sugar if desired. Store in air tight container.
Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
