Default Christmas Decorations

How far do you go with holiday decorations?

Christmas is, without a doubt, my favorite holiday and I seem to go a bit further in my decorating than most other people I know. To be honest, if I could fit a Christmas Tree in every room of the house I would! (I'm planning on having 3 trees this year.) I also love having lighted garlands over windows and doors. If there is a blank bit of wall somewhere in the house, you can be sure I'll be putting a wreath there too! I also like to put wreaths and ornaments on our bedroom doors too.

How do you decorate for Christmas?

Decorating for Christmas is so much fun. I love candles and white Christmas lights because their glow makes everything feel so warm and enchanting.

We put our Christmas tree up last week and plan to finish decorating the rest of the house this weekend. I can't wait, and neither can my youngest daughter. She's busy making paper snowflakes for her room right now.

What fun!

I had such high hopes for my Christmas decorations this year, but I guess they'll have to wait until next year. My husband is away (military) until December 22nd and once he gets home we'll be taking a 2-day drive to visit his family for Christmas. By the time we can return home, he'll have to leave again and then I'll have to pack up the house so that we can move two weeks later.

As much as I enjoy the decorating, it will be wonderful to spend Christmas with family this year (military life often demands the rescheduling and sometimes removal of holidays altogether). I'll just have to enjoy everyone else's decorations...

Oh, I just hate that for you. I'm glad your husband will be home in time for Christmas though. Just in time!

While my husband isn't subjected to extended absences or such potentially dangerous situations as are found in the military, he does travel with work quite a bit (so I can relate to some degree). We often reschedule holidays to wait for him to get home. In fact, I can't remember the last time we had Thanksgiving on a Thursday, .

I hope you enjoy your family visit and your time with husband. Merry Christmas, and good luck with your move!

Default Differs every year

I always do something different with a tree every year, ribbons or snowflakes or dolls. But the coolest tip is I put every bead strand or light strand in a separate grocery bag so I never have to untangle. Last year no one was visiting us, so we just put outdoor wreaths decorated with bird food up around the yard.
