I'm almost done. We started in October for the girls. (We hit the Samko/Miko Toy Warehouse early on for the bargins.) Now we just have odds and ends to get for the names we draw in our extended families.

I still haven't started but will probably do so this coming week or next weekend. We have to get our second car up and running this weekend. Priorities.
Shopping won't be so bad after what came in my mailbox today. My FIL sent a check in his holiday card~also the first card we got this year~for $1500 to buy the kids what they want for Christmas and to use as we see fit otherwise. I cried. I thought Santa would have to roll pennies for gifts, but I guess he employed unexpected helpers this season.

Have you started buying or making Christmas gifts? Oh yeah...i started nice and early this year...picked up small things here and there and stashed them away, now the problem is going to be finding them again

Do you buy all year long? Not usually...i did this year tho, must have been the pregnancy hormones!

Or start after Thanksgiving on Black Friday Shopping? I did go out on black friday this year...

Or do you wait until Christmas Eve? no way...we go to my DH Uncle's house every xmas eve...im a fan of xmas eve more so then xmas day

Tell us what's going on right now. kids are sleeping so im napping and not even thinking about how much more i need to buy!!

Wow! What a wonderful blessing to receive!

I try to purchase things all year long, gifts that I know certain people will enjoy. I also shop after Christmas clearance for the following year.

This year I did a lot of shopping online around Thanksgiving because of my nasty bronchitis and being home sick. The bad part of that is, when you actually see the item in hand, sometimes it is different than pictured.

Sears.com had some great Black Friday deals, but their site was down most of the day. That irritated me to no end! Their 800# clerks also had their puters down at the same time. Ended up ordering from Kohls.com and a few items, I had to return.

Last night we shopped for a few last gifts items. I'm hoping
we are done and I need to finish wrapping.

My familyroom is covered with giftbags, giftwrap, ribbons, bows, tape, etc.

But the wrapped gifts are into specific areas, so as not to confuse. I have to keep them organized.

The (4) of us (DH, DS#1, DS#2, and I) have one area for gifts,
(6) in-loves another area,
my extended (30) family another area as we draw names for big gifts and then still give smaller gifts to the nieces & nephews,
small gifts for the elderly (120) friends where my parents live in another area,
and neighbors and co-workers are in the diningroom in a corner.

Did I mention that I have been busy w/ wrapping? Should have started sooner.

Next....

Nope, not yet. I'm late this year. This next week I'm going to be busy busy...but I don't buy for extended family. Just us, my parents, in-laws, nieces & nephews.

Default Of Course!

I have 5 children, so I try to get an early start. I was pretty much finished a week ago and am halfway through my wrapping. This year I've done a lot of shopping on-line, so I was able to avoid most of the traffic and crowds. I usually spend a lot of time running around trying to get the best deal on everything. Shopping on-line, I was able to do all that research without leaving my house, order it, and wait for it to be delivered. Definitely the way to go, and I know I saved a ton of money on websites such as Amazon and eBay, and definitely saved my sanity!
Check this out if you're concerned about how stress can effect your marriage!
