Default Chronic fatigue solution

My daughter was diagnosed with chronic fatigue three years ago. Actually getting a clear diagnosis was a trauma in itself, as one doctor freely admitted the condition existed, another specialist recommended she see a psychiatrist as she'd probably been assaulted by a teacher and didn't want to return to school (i.e. she was making it up) and another specialist said, yes, she had it but as there was no diagnostic test for it, he wasn't prepared to sign any forms that she actually had it. I think that the attitudes of these doctors was far worse in many ways than the illness. No one wants to be told they are a malingerer when they are genuinely suffering. Fortunately, we found a cure and she is well today, but it was a long and painful journey for the whole family. Does anyone else have a simialr tale to tell?
