Default Chronicles of Narnia

I read the Chronicles of Narnia as a kid and I am REALLY anxious to see the new movie coming out. (I think the books are right up there with the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.)

Has anyone else read these books? Are you going to see the movie?

I've never read these books. My wife has and raves about them. She's eager to see the movie, so I'm sure we will.

My husband was so taken in by the movie previews that we had to buy the books just so he could get a taste before the movie opens.

They were written, I believe, in the '50 by CS Lewis. I can't believe you have never heard of them. My parents always had the Chronicles of Narnia in our home. You should check them out.

The movie appears to be well done, my family is anxious to see it. We are big C.S. Lewis fans.

The Chronicles of Narnia were published between 1950 and 1956 by C.S. Lewis. C.S. Lewis was a well-known scholar and religious man who wrote many books over the course of his lifetime.

Although my parents weren't big on buying books (or reading) I was a library worm from an early age and thoroughly enjoyed the Chronicles of Narnia as a kid in the 70's, a decade after C.S. Lewis' death and some 20 years after their initial publication. I'm thrilled that the story is being brought to the big screen!

The gist of the story: fantasy world, good vs. evil, action, adventure, love, danger, loyalty - all the good stuff!

I saw the movie last night at a premiere.
It was definitely worth it. The funny thing is I really didn't want to go but when I left I was so glad I did. It's worth going to see even if you have not read the books.

I read the first book, "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", when I was a kid and loved it. Can't wait to see the movie.
