My dh and I were watching tv last night when there was a show on about a lady who had taken Clomid and ended up with quintuplets, has anyone else heard of this happening,I know I was warned about twins ,but something that big ! my dh is very worried, even this is my last month of clomid!

that is actually VERY RARE there are a higher risk of multiples any time you take any kind of fertility treatment. But with clomid the most common multiples are twins

a woman I used to work with got pg with triplets on clomid...She lost 1 of the babies at 5 months :'( But gave birth to 2 beautiful, healthy baby girls on July 6th

A woman I know was on Clomid and got 4!!! They saw 3 healthy babes at 6 weeks and an empty 4th sac....at 10 weeks there were 4 healthy babes!!! !! I have a MUCH higher incidence of multiples on clomid. I have a 50% chance because it is genetic in my family to 'o' on both side every month. I also have had 2 sets of fraternal twins alreadt and DS was a twin but the other baby vanished. It is said that twins occur more frequently that one thinks and that one baby vanishes early in the PG.

there are no twins in my family, although at this point I would love anything, including twins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

twins run in both mine and dh's family on our own with NO medical intervention we concieved twins we are in a higher risk group for multiples

Twins run in my family, too. Last month the idea of having twins scared hubby. It'll be interesting if I end up with twins because of the Clomid I'm taking.

Well I know there is a high chance of Multip. babies with clomid! I had 3 follicles one cycle which could have gave me triplets! Last cycle I had 2. So I could see someone having more!! Poor women though!

here in england a woman got pregnant with 8 babies, she was in her 40's i believe and slowly every baby died during the pregnancy they had funerals for all 8 and it was greatly televised, near the end the papers where saying she took clomid, i was a little concerned when i took it but only ended up with 2 seperate single pregnancys, i think the chance of more then 2 is very reare although for a small town there are alot of twin babies appearing around here. i wouldnt mind twins but would be very happy with one right now
