Red face Cold/Cough

Tiffany seems to have a bit of a cold.
At first I was hoping that her runny nose was a teething symptom, but it has been several days. It started Tuesday, and by Wednesday she sounded pretty snorty. And had a little bit of a runny nose. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday she seemed better but sometimes would get snorty.(and had some boogies)
Today she seemed pretty snorty, (little piggy) and there were a few times she coughed. I am not sure if she is choking on drainage or if it is turning into a cough. Any suggestions??
I hate to run to the doctor. Not much they can do for a cold. But I don't want it to turn into bronchitis or something.... and we are supposed to fly to Atlanta on Thursday!!! So, I am worried about her ears.
She doesn't seem cranky at all. Just snorty.

I don't know why you'd go to the doctor for a cold anyways--you're right, they can't do anything since a cold is a virus.

My suggestion is to keep washing your hands and keep wiping her nose. You might just have to let it run its course but hopefully that can keep it from getting worse.

You aren't supposed to use Vicks for infants anymore. . .it's been deemed harmful along with everything else we use.

Hmmm. . .You know what? I'd have to check. But you can't use the stuff to rub on them, and you can't use the stuff that you put in the bath. They do make ones for babies but I've found them moderately useless compared to a humidifier etc. So I assumed you meant the real Vicks. The vapors are supposed to be bad for their little lungs. (UGH--what else can't we use?)

My neighbor gave us the vicks patched but it said not to use on a baby under 2, so we are afraid to put it on her.
It is so miserable to hear her coughing and not be able to help.
Poor baby.
So no vicks,
Do you recomend a humidifier??? We live in south Florida all I really have to do is take her outside!!! (Judt kidding)
The doctor told us to give her Donatussin......but it is such a strong one I hate to give it to her......

I don't do humidifiers (not for any particular reason. . .just inconvenient for us) but I have done "hang out in the steamy bathroom". That often does the trick. Ayr plus an aspirator also does wonders. I so sympathize.
