Hi Everybody! I figured this was as good a place as any to start. I am a new blogger at families.com. I want to introduce myself. I am Linda Hansen, everyone who knows me as Artcraft or Art. I am looking forward to meeting many of you and starting some great friendships here. Hope you are open to that. I am blogging on Compulsive Hoarding right now. A 3 part series on the subject. My husband and I became permanent custodial guardians to 2 boys, ages 11 and 14, a little over 2 yrs. ago. Since my son is 28, it has been many yrs since we have had kids in the house. The journey has been exciting, bumpy, sad, happy, surprising, comfortable, loving, and shocking-sometimes all in the same day!!
Our boys came to us with assorted disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, FAE, AD, hoarding issues. Some of the usual labels given to abused/neglected children. I do not say that lightly. We have had quite a ride dealing with it all.
I am blogging in Special Needs, not a surprise! I hope some of you will take a minute to check me out and offer a little feedback.
