Default Computer cord not working!!

So I had a warrenty for the computer but my dh threw away the papers to it So I am not sure if Best Buy will still fix it. My computer is only gonna last for 3 more hours!! I am so frustrated with dh throwing things away without asking what it is.

Best buy is a conglomerate of future shop...it should have all the info on their computers. Give them a call

I'm gonna have to go see them tomorrow. I would feel terribly calling anyone at this hour (even though I did just call my mom who didn't answer, about my dh's fever) it's almost midnight here. Before it would work if it was in a certain spot but that spot seems to have disappeared. I just really wish dh was a tiny bit more responsible with things that he doesn't know about. It is a shame that people can't be changed just a tiny bit

Do you know....Honestly....it could be something as simple as taking the side off and pushing that part of the plug-in device out.....I know Dh has done this on our computer...he's had to move the video card around with th fan to make the device work.

My dad had this problem before with his and it was something with the wires inside the cord...before when I would wiggle the cord I would find the rght "spot" that would make the computer start to charge again. If I could take that part of the computer out I would but this laptop doesn't come apart like that (to my knowledge)

on a side off the topic note....do you know what I should do about my dh's 104 F temp? I already had him take tylenol. How long should I wait before I check his temp again and worry?.....do you know? (since my mom isn't awake)

i'd have him take advil.. just because tylenol never seems to help anyone in my house. but if it doesn't break soon, i'd call a doctor.

as for the computer, if could be the port, not the cord. i know on my laptop i can't even use the LAN cable port because it's so loose.

Advil won't do much unless it has acetaminophen in it, as it is a muscle relaxant. You could try a cool shower to lower his body temp but not dramatically decreasing it as his body is probably trying to get rid of a bug. Is he throwing up or shivering? If he does do both of these and his temp does not decrease he needs to go to the doc..could be he needs something for the bug.

As for the lappy.....I thought you had a comp not lappy...don't take the lappy apart...it voids the warranty....you could try cleaning it out with an Air duster..I have to do this to my lappy all the time.

I took the cord to best buy and found out it was the cord not working anymore (probably from my "bad" baby who thinks it's funny to disconnect mommy) So I ordered a new one. Then my lovely dh suggested I try one of the old ones from our previous lap tops (why didn't I think of that?!) And it works! So Yay! My computer works!
As far as dh he was shivering but not throwing up. I had been giving him tylenol then 3-4 hours later motrin then the tylenol again and it took 24 hours but eventually his fever did go away. He still feels sick but no more fever. He has an appointment to see a doc on tuesday anyway so we'll see what his doc has to say about it.
