I have just recently learned about the secret and have started trying to implement it in my life. My biggest difficulty has been my job. I currently work an assembly-type job, on my own, eight hours a day. With all that free time on my own, I inevitably succumb to that sinking doubt: "How is it going to happen?" "Is it really possible?"
Years and years of self-doubt is challenging to overcome, I know, but forty hours a week of this type of thinking will naturally prevent manifestation of my dreams!!!
I was hoping that maybe I could get some hints and tips from people who are using the secret in their own lives - a different perspective would be very helpful indeed!

Affirmations! I look them up all the time, and pick my favorite one to repeat to myself.

I don't think there's a magic way to simply change you're way of thinking. You have to fight against the negativity with all your might. Whenever you catch yourself thinking negatively, you have to stop it, and think of the good that comes from it. There's ALWAYS good.

If you're unhappy with your job, start applying for others you're qualified to do. Take "should have" out of your vocabulary altogether.

Believe good things can happen for you...they happen for other people, so why not you too? Expect positive results. If/when negative things happen ('cause they invariably do) don't personalize it. "Such is life" is something I have to sometimes tell myself. Plus, I have to remember that if someone takes advantage of me, or is mean, or whatever, then THEY are the one with the issue. It's outside of me. I cannot control them. I can only control myself and my own thinking.

I've changed from an 18-year-old mother of 2 children on food stamps in a rented trailer with no car, ged, or license. I'm now 31, happily married mother of 4 who has not been on "the system" since 1996 and we own our own home. I not only got my GED & license, but I finished technical school and now am in college. I used to be depressed & think life was unfair & out to get me. Now, I know I control my life-it is what I make it. Life is beautiful and I love it. The good things that have happened for me are countless. The only thing that changed was my thinking.

Oh my! This thread was started by a spammer? I didn't notice a link in the orginal post. *sigh. You never can tell who to trust online at all.

I did some editing. I might not have done it on this thread, but I have done it on others, they are kind of ganging up. Basically, the new technique is to join a forum, start a topic, totally ignore everyone else who answers and then a day or two later, "someone else" comes in and posts the link. They have gotten very good at disguising their source, so it looks like they are posting in the USA or UK, but they are not.

Anyway, if YOU want to talk about the book/DVD, go ahead. Just don't post any links. There are a lot of sites that relate to this, and they are trying the cheap way to create "buzz" on forums.

Now the FUNNY spam of the day was one for a phishing site pretending to be Nike, and the poster did not really have a good understanding of english (this was from a spam sweatshop in china). So they put it in a discussion about toddlers learning to walk. Join up, search for shoes, feet, and there you have it. SELL SHOES! STEAL IDENTITIES!

Spam is one un-law we do not want to attract!
