Default Could I have gotten an infection and my doctor not noticed?

I miscarried in August, and had a D&C. I avoided BDing until after the bleeding had stopped--about a week and a half. I went to my two week check up, and she said everything was fine. Lately I've been having a slight tinge of pain in my lower right side and my AF is a week late. She came 31 days at the same time each cycle for 2 cycles, and was fairly normal. We're TTC, but HPTs are all BFNs and there's still no sign of AF. I was worried that I may have gotten PID or some other awful infection when we BD'd after the D&C--my cervix may have still been opened, etcetc. DH and I are both clean for the STDs that I've read cause PID, and I'm not having pain during intercourse really, it just hurts when (TMI) it goes too deep. I'm a worryer, to say the least. I know I should just go to my doctor, but I am putting it off until Thursday so that I don't have to go alone. :/ Also, there are (TMI, I'm so sorry) white floaties in my pee. My mom's a nurse, and she keeps saying just drink more water it's a UTI, blahblah. But sometimes she's wrong, you know?

Has anyone gotten an infection after their m/c that didn't start causing problems until a couple of months later that the doctor didn't mention at their check-up?? I'm just wondering if I should be reallyreally concerned or if I'm just being a hypochondriac again...

I don't see how that would be possible. The infection is entirely possible but to just let it go for two months would leave you in serious, serious pain. A week late could still yield a bfn for some women. . .and white floaties sounds to me like a yeast issue. In other words I suspect you have stuff going on for which you'll need to see your doctor. . .before Thursday. . .but I don't think that everything you're describing is entirely related. I do hope you feel better and I hope you go to your doctor before the weekend is up.

The pain in your right side...could it be related to what you eat? After I had my first baby I got gallstones they didn't find them till 2 months after I lost my second because the first doctor told me it was nothing and didn't even look. The second doctor was much more understanding and looked till he found what was causing the pain. Either way I would ask the doc about it.
Also When I was pregnant with my second I had a yeast infection and they didn't notice it till the 3rd appointment. I noticed it from the begining but I didn't know what it was and didn't realize it wasn't..."normal" I know that sounds silly but I am silly.

It's definitely not a yeast infection--I've had those before and it's nothing like that.

Yes, did you see the doctor?

Sounds like he needs to do some cultures,
maybe some blood work to see what is happening.

Better & AF has showed up. I'm pretty sure mom's right about it being a UTI--I've googled it tons and that's what it seems to be, and when I drink only water all day it goes away .

I would suggest going to the dr. I had a uti and I thought that all I had to do was drink lots of water. My mom (also a nurse) said to go to the dr, but the symptoms went away when I drank water so I didn't get checked out. The reason the symptoms went away was because the infection spread to my bladder and then to my kidneys. I ended up with an upper kidney infection and it was more painful than my 14 hours of drug-free labor. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Please just check with the doc!

I'm planning on it, but I have to wait until Thursday because the doctor is all booked with flu patients & it's easier because DH is off work. I used to get UTIs a lot when I was younger, so many that my doctor explained honeymooner's disorder to me (and I was 12!!!). I've had a kidney infection, too, and it doesn't feel like that at all. thanks, guys.
