and repeatedly at different stores that the policies are changing because they're getting "scammed"!!
I wasted an hour today trying to make the deals work and obey the policies as I knew them only to be thrown a curve ball at checkout. I ended up leaving without anything! I wrote CVS to let them know that I don't appreciate the fact that they do not have a consistent, clear coupon policy for ALL of their stores.
Anybody else facing these struggles? It seems to all stem from the $20 off glucose monitor coupons a few weeks ago.
Sometimes the manager or cashier is just making up their own version of the rules.
They will even say, "we got a letter /email from corp. about this." Or "The District Manager told us."
That has to be a big story, cause the stores don't do the same thing even when the managers are the ones involved in your transaction.
If one store got that email/letter/call, they all would at least in your area.
That means it's either misinformation, misinterpretation or a bald faced lie.
My stores here in FL are super and the DM works with the customers well.
We can stack the printables as long as our total order comes up to the combined face value of the coupons and we can only use one like code on an order.
Which is the right way to do it anyway.
Those printables are basically just giving you 20% off your order.
As far as no 20 on the 19.99 monitor, what's the difference in adjusting for a penny on a monitor or a penny on an item that is .99 with a $1 coupon. That makes no sense unless it is those CVS booklet coupons.
Store might not get their money back on those, don't know.
But if it is a mfg $20 coupon then the store gets 19.99 back + 8 cents hf, so they got 20.07 for the meter which is more they wanted to get.
Also, Doesn't matter if you use mfg 1st or last, it comes out to the same end result.
Mfg coupons are just another form of money. $1 coupon is really $1.08 for the store, a .75 coupon is .83 for the store etc.
They should love mfg coupons.
