Default Creative, yet Frugal Christmas Gift Ideas

Have you ever needed a quick Christmas gift for
a friend and were at a loss for a suggestion?

Here are some fun ideas that you may wish to consider.

Give a favorite jar of seasoning with a note: "May your Christmas be seasoned with love".

Give a 3 pack of microwave popcorn with a pretty bow and this note:
"Just popping by with a holiday hi!"

Give a new kitchen towel, kitchen scrubbie, and a bottle of Joy
along with this: "JOY to the world and to you!"

Give a jar of berry jam/jelly or honey in a honeybear plastic bottle along with a pretty bow and
note: Have a Berry/Beary Christmas!"

Give a block of cheese and a cheese grater
with a note attached: "Have a Grate Christmas!"

Give a jar of salsa and a bag of tortilla chips with this note:
"Have a Spicy Season from our house to yours!"

Give several pretty votive candles tied with a ribbon:
"May the light of Christmas be with you all year long!"

Give a bag of Hershey's kisses with a big bow and a note:
"Merry Kiss-mas!"

The last two years we have done home made Christmas gifts. Last year we made homemade bread and a wonderful garlic herb butter my husband makes. It was always well loved during the spring when we grilled so we gave it as presents. Everyone loved it and it was such an easy way to save money!
This year we are making homemade candies and will also give dessert jars. These are mason jars that you fill with all the dry ingredients for either a good pie or cookies. You then attach a card with the recipe. They just need to add the wet ingredients and bake.
With a baby on the way we have to pinch pennies some way and holidays can get pricey if you aren't careful.

Those are wonderful ideas. My room mate at college gave me a mug with packages of hot chocolate, mints and a candy cane. It was so sweet and such a great idea.

Another cute idea is a bottle of Sprite with a tag that says:
"May your Christmas be merry and sprite."
