Cristianna was kinda planned, we took the IUD out thinking it would take 3-4 years, like with the rest. And within 3 months we were expecting. There was a new hospital very very close and we wanted to go there, however there was not a OB there yet. So back to Dr Johnson i went, I really did not want to. I was 21 weeks along and had an U/S and it was another girl. I cried, i really did. I know I should not have, but we had planned this to be it, and I wanted a boy so bad. Just after the U/S the new hospital called and said we have an OB if you still want. So I changed to Dr Meadows, and that was the best thing ever. I really love my OBGYN.
I knew when she was coming I told dr M that it was the weekend of the 25. She said I was wrong, that was to early, My due date was june 5 i think. I had contractions on and off for a few days, I woke up tha friday morning and knew, i had to get up and walk. It was all i could think about, it was obsessive. Mind consuming, I HAD TO WALK. I did for about 2 hours. I called her and she said come on in. we were there by 5 a.m. It was slow going of course! I sometime that later that morning they let me get an epidural, it was almost to late, things started happening quickly after the broke the water. Funny I cant remembe4r the time, but I remember the song playing, Here comes the sun. Cristianna was was 7lbs 7 oz and 20 inches, I think.
I remember we had a hard time BFing at first, my milk came in late, and she had Jaundice very bad. The fill in Pedi tried to tell me to supplement, but i refused. I told her i would but did not. Our pedi came back from vacation, and said he would not have said that, she was bili levels were high, but he understood the problems and now that there was an abundance of milk it would be ok.
