What factors led to you choosing the curriculum/homeschooling method that you did?

My first curriculum was based on faith and budget: Second curriculum was based on lack of budget;
Started with a prepackaged curriculum, by the time I was homeschooling five kids, I was using a lot of Unit Studies, free printables, and lots of Internet sites.
