Default Custom Candy Bar Wrappers (Mazing, Act II, Chewing Gum, etc)

You can customize wrappers for just about any item ! Just measure the items dimentions and create it any graphic supporting software program.

Use graphics/message on front/back as appropriate for the occasion.

IMPORTANT: i leave the item intact and just cover over existing packaging.

To create the wrapper, I prefer MS WORD and WordArt/Picture/Drawing features. Can also use pictures of the person(s) the event is in honor of.

I use my folks B&W wedding pic for the 50th anniversary party. These were a hit!

Currently I'm working on retirement party for my boss using mazing bars
These have
FRONT
Current picture in oval frame
Name, US Army, dates of service
Background for entire wrapper is a faded American Flag
BACK
ingredients, UPC barcode, nutrition info, thank you for attending message

Last Christmas I gave customized wrapped Act II (FREE) popcorn packages as "Merry Christmas Greeting Cards". Everyone liked 'em! Card/gift all in one!

You could also do this with other free/cheap items -- tic tacs, chewing gum, etc.....just measure the items dimentions and draw a box in your software program to that size and add your graphics/text.

You can use regular paper or the higher quality kind.
Double stick tape or gluestick to adhere to product
Full sheet Label paper is also a good option although more $$

A paper cutter makes things easier if you have multiple wrappers

When your ink cartridge is empty, take to OM or OD for more free paper!

Themes/Parties
Baby Shower
Weddings
Retirements
Birthdays
Thank you
Easter
Valentines
ETC ETC ETC !!!

I have done the candy bar wrappers for my husband for a few years now.

I did Hershey Miniatures and I have done full size bars too. We use them as edible business cards. If people take his contact information they are more likely to call him (he is a commission employee). People think it is cleaver and love telling him they got his number off a candy bar!

I have done them as "thank-you's" in goodie bags to thank kids for coming to a party.

I did Read Across America ones for our guest readers. They are nice for teacher appreciation ~ which is this week!

I've never tried the popcorn. If you have a template I'd love to see it ~ I'll trade you for my mini's one!

These sound great. I have a hard time imagining how it looks... does someone have a picture to show by any chance?

Thanks.

mj ~ i started out with the mini ones ! then created more from there.

this site is good for templates though. don't think she has the mazing but she has a popcorn one which similiar to mine - i extended the sides to enclose the ends (results in no plastic sticking out).

http://www.jersgirl.com/templates/index.html

you can also make matchbooks using wrapped lifesavers
http://petfolio.net/birthdays/matchbook.htm
jersgirl has the template too

other sites
http://www.tlccreations.com/newstyletutor.html
http://www.aboutcandybarwrappers.com/ - for reference for those needing a "visual"

not feeling creative: click & print & wrap
http://www.bakingabusiness.com/candy...dywrappers.htm

just type candy bar wrappers in a search engine and you'll be amazed at the hits!

These are so fun to do!

50th Wedding Anniversary - what a great favor idea!

I did these for my DS#1's Church Confirmation party
and they were so easy.
Made a fun treat to take home too.

The links used to show the hershey's nuggets now doesn't show it! Does anyone know a place that shows ideas for the hershey's nuggets (and gum, chiclet style flat pkgs.)? I'm going to do both of those (the printer and God willing)!

which link is not working ?? i googled but could not find nuggets templates. there is a gum template in jersgirl but not sure for what brand/size that fits.

make your own template for ANY candy by measure existing packaging of the candy you want to wrap.

then draw an autoshape box in Word to that size (you can edit size of the autoshape using the format autoshape). you would then need to determine where the graphics/text area of the wrapper.

feel free to PM me anytime with Qs and i'll do my best to assist.
