The Aquafresh Advance will remain 2.99 for the entire month of August so I really don't see the point of getting a raincheck now.

i always see a point in getting a raincheck, you never know when an excellent deal may come about and you can get that deal at a lower price. That is my point and this is one of the reasons my Stockpile is huge.

Default raincheck

I normally get a raincheck on an ECB item if it's not in the stock when I go in at the beginning of the week for weekly deals.
But since this one is good all month, and my store has been out since day one, i'm just going to wait until the last day i would normally shop during the month promotion (8/26), and if they still don't have it, get a raincheck for 3 on one card and another raincheck for 3 on my 2nd card.
I would only ask for a raincheck if the item is out of stock.
If your store gets the toothpaste in this month, or you are able to get the toothpaste at other stores, and you buy 3 and reach your limit for the ECB deals, you wouldn't need to use the raincheck in the future. Holding on to a raincheck for a possible future deal is misusing the raincheck, IMO.
Sure, no one will know that you already got the toothpaste at that price (unless they have a very good memory), so you'll probably get away with it. But it seems sketchy to me.

I fail to see the scandal in this behavior. Tell me just who is harmed if Anointed is walking around with an unused raincheck? What possible difference could it make?

Absolutely no harm if the raincheck is unused.
Sketchiness if the raincheck is used after already participating fully in the ECB deal.

first off all your entitled to your opinion but it doesn't make you right. Second you can have more than one CVS card hence being able to do a deal more than once. I personally have learned that getting a raincheck is a good idea. For example, when the Bic Soleil was FREE with manu cou, i got a raincheck at the 4.99 price (and good thing because cvs went up on the price). Guess what, going through my Rcs i discovered this RC and used it this week and used a $2 manu which mean that i made over $1 for buying this razor. Plus i combined with a 4/20 so i made out very well. That is the point of getting RCs. So i will get a raincheck if i want to and you don't have to agree with me but as long as i'm not committing fraud, there is no problem. It being 'sketchy' to you is your opinion and in this case you are not right. I got the RC for the 'sale' price which did NOT include an ECB so i am fine and right and that is why thinking 'ahead of the game' has gained me an enormous stockpile. Mine is huge. I try to get a RC for everything because it pays off in the future. So do me a favor, and if your going to lecture me, make sure i'm actually in the wrong.
