I never see anything good. In one of my stores I saw a bin by the cash registers. But that was it.

My stores just push a cart up by the register and fill it. Sometimes, it's different prices but usually they'll just dump a bunch of things in there and put .50 on a sign.

They used to have clearance shelves but not anymore.

Some clearance items are mixed in with the regular price items.

Makeup is usually in it's right spot with a clearance sticker on it.

My CVS has metal bins in front of the Kodak Kiosk machines (front of the store) and they also have one at the end of the Make-up aisle (rear of store) near pop coolers - with all kinds of clearance stuff (not JUST make-up items).

The bins are rather large bins.....they sit on the floor and are about 3 ft. deep.
Depending upon the amount (and pkg. sizes) of the clearance items, they add or take away a metal rack that sits inside them.
If the items are small (like lipsticks, trial size products, etc, they add the metal rack as a mid-height shelf and put a (shopping basket) full of the smaller clearance items on top of the rack (which serves as a shelf).
If the items are larger (like the end of summer clearances), with the pool toys, coolers, lawn ornaments, etc.....they take out the metal rack which serves as a shelf and fill the bins.
