Heads up! Be on the look out for a CVS postcard with a 30% off your whole purchase (usual exclusions) coupon for Friends & family Day on Saturday 12/1/07 only. Coupon says it's valid one time only on 12/1/07, so be ready to put a big order together. I heard about employees giving out flyers last year with a coupon on it, but I was never able to get my hands on one. I got this postcard in the mail today. Now that you know the day you can start hinting to your favorite employee. See if they can give you a coupon (if you don't get one in the mail).

12/1 is the start of the new monthly program, and there are a few items that are free after Extra Bucks, and the limit is 5. So I would get those items and get paid 30% to buy them! Not to mention manufacturer coupons!

Is there somewhere to get the coupon if we did not receive the postcard? I'm not sure why I did not receive it. I go to CVS all the time.

The coupon says it's not good on sale items, which means that ECB items may be excluded as well. (Even when they're full price the price scanners often still show them as "sale" since they're part of a weekly promotion).

I have the card and am looking forward to Saturday, but I'm not overly optimistic that it's going to be the windfall I thought it was before talking to an employee.

I am an employee. The coupons were supposed to be sent to employees only and they are supposed to distribute them. Our employee discount is only 20%. This is supposed to be our "Xmas gift" with the extra percentage off. Our discount is on any NON sale item. You will still receive the extra care discounts for the sale items, but the 30% is on everything that is not on sale. We usually use it to do Xmas shopping. I know that it also does not cover magazines, books, cigarettes, prescriptions, milk and I believe Hallmark. I hope this helps.

I am not an employee and I got one too, in the mail. I think it has to do with how much you spend (before coupons of course, lol)

I got mine and boy am i happy. Here is an idea for maximizing this coupon. I plan to buy a Diabetes monitor that is not on sale so it will make the total higher and maximize the discount!
