If you have read my other thread that I just posted in here, I think Tiffany is teething. Or she may have a touch of a virus......
but she is starting to be mean to the dogs!!!!!!
I was hoping that someone would have some suggestions for us, as we have no idea what to do. But it has to stop imediately. We do not have the kind of dogs that will tolerate this!!! (rotty, pit bull, chow mix---and a jack russell pit bull mix that is terrified of her!!)
Dh said if I don't come up with some kind of answer he will start smacking her hand........but neither of us wants to do this. Although that is better than what the dogs will do if she doesn't stop!!
Anyway, she has been throwing things at them. And not little things like cheerios--they would like that. She took her bottle of bubbles and threw it at the lab, then she laughed histerically! I yelled "No, Tiffany- dont' give Bo a booboo." but it was like she didn't even hear me. Then she took it and went to Sierra and threw it at her. I told her no in the meanest voice I have, and I looked angry, and she never even acknowledged me, she just was too busy laughing. I don't know if she understands or not. ( I would assume she does) She pets them so gently, and she feeds them treats!!! But she seems to think it is fun to chuck things at them, to watch them jump! (I need to fix this, we all know what happens to people who are cruel to animals!!!!)
So what should I do? I do notice her testing the waters a bit.
She is too young to understand too much talking to, but we have tried telling her that it is mean and that she is going to hurt them. We picked her up and then put the dogs in our bedroom. But we don't want to punish them for what she is doing!!!!
