Has anyone had any success in purchasing discounted gift cards, or is this generally a scam? Are there any known good or bad ways to purchase these?

Welcome to the board!

Most of those are just spam.....do so many offers, giving your CC# all over the internet,
and after completed...then you get a giftcard, if all done correctly.
I do not think most of them are safe.

Now IMO, Restaurant.com with the discounts on restaurants is a good deal.
I order from them monthly for vacation, for gifts to have on hand,
and quick thank-you's.

Any other thoughts?
