Get an Enhanced Fastpass...

The original term for enhanced Fastpass was unlimited, but that was a bit misleading, since you can't really get as many Fastpasses as you want. What "enhanced" means is that you can simultaneously hold a Fastpass for each Fastpass attraction. For the regular guest, the expectation is that you will only have a Fastpass for a single attraction at any given time.

Currently there is only one way to get this special benefit. You must buy a hotel and admission package from AAA Travel. They are the exclusive sellers of the Enhanced Fastpass feature. That's right, you cannot get this feature from anybody else, even if you buy directly from the Walt Disney Travel Company.

First, you must buy hotel and park admission from AAA Travel. Of course, they would love to sell you reservations for air, rental car, meal packages, etc, but those are extras and not required. Second, you must stay at one of the three on property Disneyland Resort Hotels: the Grand Californian Hotel, the Disneyland Hotel, or the Paradise Pier Hotel.

When you first arrive at the park have one person in your group go get a Fastpass for every attraction that offers it.

Before you use a Fastpass, always get a new Fastpass for the same attraction.

AAA also usually offers a discount on passes, though I'm not sure of their current status of discounts.

I really think that WDW should offer an enhanced Fastpass to annual p*****lders and those staying on property as it just makes life easier and would allow guests more time to shop and spend more money.

We found that by visiting at an off-time that we didn't need the fastpass much. If the lines are short, it isn't worth your time to schedule when you'll ride one of the top attractions. But if the lines were long, which happened on the weekends, we loved having the option. Our fastpass was limited to just 1 per hour, but we weren't staying at a Disney hotel.

One trick that my sister shared with me was that you can actually have two fastpasses at once. You see, as soon as it hits the start of your hour window, you are free to get another fastpass. So, say at 11:00am you get a Fastpass for Space Mountain, which reads "12:00pm-1:00pm" Right at 12:00 pm, you could go to any other Fastpass machine and go ahead and get a pass for another ride, THEN go get on Space Mountain. This can save some waiting time, since part of it will be spent on a ride!

Watch out! If you are not one to arrive at the park right when it opens...the "fast pass" will screw you! They only distribute a certain amount and then EVERY "stand by line" gets sooo long and the fast pass people make it impossible for you to get on a ride! We couldnt catch a break. Watcing all the "fast passers" get on the ride in 15 minutes when we had to wait 2.5 hours was awful! I hate the fast pass!
