Hi all,
My dh and I have been ttc for 18 months. I was on clomid and in September when AF came I decided that I couldn't go through another failed treatment (this was my 3rd failed treatment). After consulting my gynae, he suggested that I was too tense and stressed and perhaps that was the reason for the failure. So I decided to take a break. When I was on the clomid, AF was like clock work - the 20th of every month. It's now the 20th and there's no signs of AF at all. I don't think I'm pregnant simply because we didn't BD on the days I was "supposed" to be O. Although personally I think I "O" later than day 14 as is expected. I was hoping that the clomid would have given my hormones a kick start but doesn't look like it. Seems like I definetly need the clomid treatment if I want to get pregnant. By the way, I have PCOS and normally round about the time for AF I can pimples, bloated, back ache and headaches, but not this month. I just feel a little tired and had some cramping yesterday. I feel I'm not ready to start another cycle - to be honest dh and I are so much more relaxed and enjoying each other again. I just dont know whats going on with my body .... could it be that I need to be on clomid treatment in order to produce an egg and then ovulate???? Anyone have any thoughts? |

Hello,
Very well could be that you need the fertility to "hatch" that egg. I have PCOS as well...and I OBVIOUSLY produce eggs, but they just never release. I have a 4 1/2 year old son. Everyone is so different, you should really consider sitting down with your gyn and discussing his thoughts and advice. I am not much help on this one, because I know that I need the clomid, or it will never happen for me! Hope you get the answer you need....and your BFP soon!

snickerdoodles,
Thanks for your thoughts and advice. My gynae has prescribed metformin as well as clomid for me to take when I'm ready and I think the combo will do the trick. |

Yeah, I have Metformin too...this was my first month ever taking metformin. I didn't ovulate this month on Metformin and the clomid mixture. I hope you get your BFP soon! Good luck!

I TOTALLY understand what you ladies are going through. This is my first month on Clomid and I don't think I O'd at all. I went to the DR's and she gave me a prescription for 100mg's next month. I have been told I don't have PCOS, but I think I do to some extent. I know how you all feel. Sometimes I think I am never going to have a baby. Sometimes I feel the need to just give up completly. What Mg's are you ladies taking? I don't think I am O'ing cuz I have had no EWCM and all my OPK are negative. Today is my CD 17 so i highly doubt I will be getting a BFP this month. I was wondering does Clomid make AF regular for everyone? Or just certain people? I am so affraid I will not see AF this month. I guess I am affraid that Clomid is doing nothing for me. Is that possible? Sorry for all the questions. I hope you get your BFPs this month!
