Default Do you cloth diaper at night?

How exactly do you do that? I wanted to use them while potty training but I've never ever done it and not really sure how to. Or how to clean them properly...What do you do to make it last the whole night?

Good luck.

I had absolutely no one to show me how to do it. I bought everything, and tried and tried and tried, but it ALWAYS leaked real bad!

Does she still go every night? Or just once in awhile? Maybe she can wear Pull-ups at night, if all else fails.

I dunno...this is what I'd do. Unfortunately Miss Alyssa is fighting me every step of the way, so I have to put the potty training on hold for a bit.

Wanna be my potty training buddy? Lord knows it ain't easy...

Well I thought I don't want to buy diapers anymore! but I'm not too fond of washing sheets all the time either and I know she pee's at least twice at night. I bought these "training" pants at target the other day and haven't actually tried them yet but they're cloth and there was also a package that had vinyl leakproof ones so I got those also....I'm not sure what I'm doing but should I put a insert in those training pants to keep my floors dry? or are they ok by themselves? Or should she wear the cloth with the vinyl ones on the outside?.....I'm a bit confused and feel so silly.

We use cloth diapers full-time and always have.

I'd like to help, if I can figure out what you're asking.

Are you potty learning during the day and just looking for something at night? How absorbent do you need the diaper to be?

Your planning on potty training very young isn't Katelyn roughly the same age as Libby? 18 months?

I want to cloth diaper all the time...I figure if we use cloth that she'll feel it more and maybe I'll notice better to help her use the potty more often. I want to potty train her but I'm not really trying to push her too hard...I'm trying to go with what she's ready for but I'm not really sure what she's ready for I'd like something I can pull on and off but something that won't make a mess on the floor when she pee's...I think I might be silly but I'm a bit worried about making messes.

Jaeclyn was totally out of diapers at 18 months...nighttime and all....once they show some kind of interest (IE pulling off the diaper like Katelyn is) they usually are pretty ready to be taught slowly

As for your question, use a water proof matress pad (saves your mattress), have sheets ready, and you can use the cloth diaper part first, then put the vinyl on the outside. I would attempt to get her trained during the day first, then move on to nighttime issues...thats what worked for Jae anyway...Good luck!!

She's gone most of the day without a diaper. I put her in a cloth diaper that I wanted to try out to see how well it keeps the liquid but I put a regular diaper on for nap time and wouldn't ya know that's the only time she has peed so far today! (except for the morning when her father got her up and had her in a diaper) I can't beleive she hasn't peed more. I keep taking her to the potty to pee and she enjoys sitting on the potty but she's just not peeing much today. I think she might be holding it because she's not wearing a diaper! She's gotta pee soon....I've gone like 6 times and she's only gone once

jae never pees...in fact today she woke up and waited until almost 2pm when i finally realized she hadnt gone yet! I made her sit there and go...and boy did she go!!

I asked the dr about it a million times and she said "up her liquids" but the kid drinks a million cups a day it feels like.

She obviously has great bladder control and is ready to be trained if she CAN hold it!! At least thats good news, just hopefully she wont be like Jae :-/
