We had a good doctors appointment today! On ultrasound my cervix has not budged (still measuring 3.6cm), there is no funneling. That was my biggest concern, so I feel relieved. The babies looked good. The little boy is vertex and 1#8oz and the little girl is transverse and 1#7oz. All of the measurements look healthy and we are very grateful.
The doctor said I can work for three more weeks then he wants me at home. Last night I found I was having more BH contractions than I was used to, so I started writing times and duration (never more than 2 an hour and all less than 30 seconds). He reviewed what I wrote down and said that it was ok, but if I have more than 5 in an hour go straight to L&D and that they will probably start me on some Procardia as needed for contractions.
My biggest issues lately have been frequent nose bleeds (4-6 per week!), but I have an appointment with an Ear-Nose-Throat doctor tomorrow morning, so that should be taken care of. My other issue is back pain so bad at the end of my shift that it brings tears to my eyes. I have a maternity belt that I have worn at work since week 18, but the L&D nurses think I need even more support (and the doctor agreed), so today I ordered the "Prenatal Cradle". It should be here Thursday, so I will have it for work this weekend! Does anybody have any experience with this maternity belt? Hopefully it will work, and if not, then hey, just 9 more shifts then I am done!
Phew! That was long!
