My two are 11 months apart and having them was the next best thing to having twins. I had a MIL that told us don't expect any help she already did the grandma thing she had been there and done that. (DH's) siblings are 12 and 10 years older than him and their children were almost grown already. My mom left when I was a kid so I raised the 2 myself while my DH worked 2 jobs. It was rough the first 2 years I did not know what sleep was but we got through it and it was fun I would not trade it for anything. My DD was already a little helper when Jr was born and still is now that they are 17. They are as close as best friends and go to the gym together and the mall and alot of other activities and yet still have their own creative outlets that they balance and to me that is great cuz I had no one growing up.
