Hi, my brother was born in 1985 and them later my mother split up with my dad (I was with my mother). I know his initials and the place where they had gone at a later stage. I also know that he is dead; I need to get information about such databases that can help me to get information of my brother’s birth and death dates.

If you had his name or Social Security number (don't need both) I know you could go to Social Security Death Index or rootsweb.com, but with just initals and date that probably won't help but it might be worth a try.

if you're in the US- they will be listed at your local records of deeds or register of wills. it doesn't matter if he had a will or not, there will still be a file with his name. you don't need his SS number either.
