Default dont let a tragedy seperate your family.

Thats right, dont let it happen no matter what.Cousin was killed in 1983,2 days after his 19th Bday.(No he wanst drunk OR at fault) Before this, every year all my dads family would come down to where my grandparents in same area where I lived.I didnt know my mom, so my dads side of the family was everything. Then IT happened and its never been the same.My grandparents moved away(because of a teen pregnacy, they raised my cousin) so everyone stopped getting together.
I just got back home in Florida after visiting my 64 yo sick uncle in Alabama. And **** it stinks being away from each other for 18+ years.S A D!!!!!! My grand parents have since died ,which makes it sadder.
Refuse to let a family tragedy ruin your family!!Stand up and REFUSE to give up till your family gives in.FAMILY is SPECIAL and CANT be replaced!!!

Default Thank you.

Thank you for reaffirming this. I've had some issues with my parents and siblings for years. It's mainly because of my wife and sister and law that we even talk and get together for the holidays at all. My parents are getting older and I know they'll be gone before I know it. Our relationship has improved with time and I'm very thankful of this.

Yes, family is important no matter how dysfunctional...

I would be devastated if I ever lost anyone in my family. Thank goodness I haven't yet.

There have been a number of times that my family has also faced the strain that tragedy brings. I'm confident the reason for us continually pulling through is b/c we have always been close, communicate well, and unite when things go wrong. I'd be lost without my family and wouldn't have been able to cope with the loss of my Mom and Brother.
I've just begun my own personal blog, Net Chattering - Contemplating Life, if anyone is interested in getting a little bit of insight to my life or sharing any thoughts/ideas, please visit. http://netchattering.blogspot.com/
