Default Double Jogging Stroller

I'm wondering if anyone can help me figure out the name of a particular jogging stroller I want. I want to buy one, but since we are TTC at the end of the year, I think it might be better to invest in a double instead of a single. I've seen these ones that have a seat on top and then a little seat underneath of the main seat. It looks like a single, because the second seat is hidden. I think that would be a good option since it would be awhile before we used it as a double. That way I wouldn't look dumb with a side-by-side double stroller with only one kid. I seen a couple of ppl walking around with them, but just didn't ask what brand it was. I wish I did. Does anyone know what I'm looking for?

I wish! I really really wanted one! But over here they cost about £400 so about $800. I've got a 3 wheeled tandem (one in front of the other) its easier than a side by side but I normally carry Libby in a sling and push Josh in the single 3 wheeler we have.

That is a Phil & Ted buggy. It's about $800 dollars. Everyone (--except me) has one in the city. There's another similarish design by Valco but it's also astronomically expensive.

Here are some thoughts on tandem strollers from a mom who has used them for about 6 years now. (Unless of course you can spend $800 on a stroller?!) Side to side tandems are much easier to push than front to back ones. However, for a toddler (which Scarlet will be when you have #2) and an infant I highly recommend a sit and stand. They're super sturdy (it has survived 5 years being dragged around on the NYC subway system and we still have it!). And they come with an infant seat for the front. The back is a bench (w/straps) so that the toddler can sit or stand. Not a jogging stroller I realize, but I used to jog with it easily.

I too have the Sit and Stand and it is fabulous! I love it. It is lightweight and pretty easy to maneuver. And I only paid about $130 for it. I highly recommend it as well.

Christina are you looking for a tandem or specifically a jogging stroller for jogging?

Everyone here has one too. They must have all got them on a "free day" or something. That's a lot of ppl spending $800 on a stroller!

I was thinking about a jogging stroller. I babysit this girl that is three years old. I push her in the jogging stroller and carry Scarlet in my sling. Patrick likes to jog with the baby, and he uses her regular stroller. I was thinking that we could get a jogging stroller to make it easier. I've seen a lot on Craigslist for $30-200 depending on quality. I just wasn't sure if I wanted to spend that much on a stroller that we could only use for one kid when we will have two soon. With a price like $800 it might be worth it to get a good quality used one for $50, since we'll use if for another year and half at least before next baby arrives. Then we can get a regular tandem or sit and stand.

How about e-bay? I've got my McClaren on ebay for about 40% of what it would've cost me in stores. When we looked into the Phil & Ted it was still prett expensive but you could get a single and then buy the attachment to turn it into a double when you need it. You live in a city too right? I'm sure that's why people here have them-- talk about super convenient!

I cannot fathom spending that much money on a stroller and gosh--we're hard on ours. We use them everywhere and I'm pretty sure all of our strollers have seen several thousands of miles!
