Default Dover NH Shaw's coupon policy on wine tags!

Hi, sorry this is my first post and may not be in the right location. We have a huge selection of $2 off seafood wine tags and have been using them regulalry at this Shaw's location with no issue at all....until Saturday.
My DH was buying the tuna which was on sale and was using the wine tags for them ( yes I know we love the overage!! ) and the cashier called the manager over to see the wine tags. Now as I have said we have used these over the last month to 6 weeks with no issue at all on them. It is just a different cashier
The manager informed us we cannot use the wine tag unless it is for FRESH seafood which is totally incorrect. We told her they did not say FRESH only but the manager walked away from us. I have emailed Shaw's and am waiting for a response from them. Has anyone else had an issue? Can you suggest anything else that I may need to do?
Thanks!!
Moe

I've used those same WTs on canned tuna and canned clams at my Shaws in Newport, NH. There are some seafood WTs that specifically say "fresh" seafood. If you can get your hands on one of those, and show both to the manager, explaining, that yes, this one says fresh, and this one doesn't, you may have a better time convincing the manager.

Well, Brent Lambert, the store manager stated we could not use the coupon because there is a PICTURE of a salmon steak on the coupon and it was intended to promote the seafood department...hello?? He also stated he stood by the manager who denied the use of the coupons and he FURTHER SAID
We do not allow more than 6 coupon lots, like I can only buy 6 cans of tuna and use 6 coupons etc, he also said they are suppose to REFUSE large amounts of coupons...WHAT!?? I have been couponing for a while now, I have a family of 6 and I only buy what I have a coupon for so if that is the limitations he says Shaw's has
1) they have been doing it wrong for 16 mos now with me
2) Walmart won't give me this problem and
3) WAS HE DRUNK!??
I read to him the coupon policy mailed to me by corporate and he said " We do not have Alberton's policy so I am reading to you from Shaw's policy." I told him I got this email from SHAWS CUSTOMER CARE!!
*sigh* I am angry!
So now I am waiting for the district manager to phone me. I have about 250 of these dang wine tags!!
Thanks for any advice!
Peace
Moe

Exclamation Re: Dover NH Shaw's coupon policy on wine tags!

I know, this is the most wine tags I have ever had before!!!

I guess I will just look for the right cashier from now on, but for the momentI am ANGRY. The manager did not even care when I said I would go elsewhere and take all my toys.. err I mean friends with me.

Now they want to know why I thought it would be ok to get money BACk for buying a can of tuna at 59 cents. I told them I should at least get the item for free...while my head was yelling FOR THE OVERAGE!! I also told the manager he would be redeemed for the coupon amount PLUS the 8 cent handling fee so why did it bother him so much to decide it was for fresh only.

Makes me want to go there and put 6 in a row of any $2 value of fresh seafood over and over and over.....

Do we trade in this forum?
Thanks
Moe

As long as i have some of you NH winetag seekers here, I have a question.

My SO and I stop at the New Hampshire Liquor store while on our way to Maine. We're going there next week. Why is it that they NEVER have any winetags? I see rebate offers for liquor, but NEVER NEVER any winetags. Do they just not put them out? Are there any grocery stores near them that might have a couple?

We don't have them in NY and I'd love to get some while on our trip.

thansk.

Susan
