Dr. Appt (long)
I hate going to an OBGYN office. It was full of very pg women . Plus, I waited in the lobby for 50 min I just wanted to start crying every time another pg women walked in. Any way she did a trans vaginal us and all is clear she saw nothing left from m/c . She also put me on an antibiotic just in case there is any kind of infection. She also told me that she doesn't want to do any testing because she said that having two m/c's are normal but, if I had a third there may be something else going on there . I told her I don't want there to be a third m/c and what if we did the testing now but she is very hesitant and really wants to wait and see . Also, she wants me to wait two cycles before taking my second round of clomid . I want to go to a new Doctor. The problem is I live a fairly small town there is only two OBGYN's to go to and the other one I went to with my last m/c and hated the doctor, so unless i'm willing to travel far distances i'm SOL.

It's your body ,not hers and so if you want the testing ,you should get it! If you are willing to go through them, it is your choice , I hope the dr. gets the message soon

maybe it would be worth it to look into another doctor even if it is somewhat far. it couldnt hurt to call around or even set up an appointment for a second opinion. you dont necessarily have to switch, just getting a second opinion might make you feel better.
good to hear that the physical part of the m/c is over and that you are feeling better. i agree with you not wanting to wait for a third m/c to do something, even though most doctors agree that 2 m/c isnt necessarily abnormal.
let us know what you decide to do! goodluck!

I hope that there isn't a 3rd m/c. Did you bring out the tears and show the doc how badly you want the tests and need answers? My husband thinks that is manipulating the doctor but I don't. Especially since that is probably how you feel about the doc saying to wait till you have another one. I think that is crazy! I know that is what they do but it's wrong to make a woman go through that just because they think they might not find the answers. I hope you get your answers whether that is with your current doc or if that means you have to travel to get some. I get angry at doctors easily.....I try not to but they get to me real easy. I hope it gets better for you. I am sorry.

I'm really surprised that they have women who have recently had a miscarriage coming to the office on the same day as the pregnant woman. With my OB, when pregnant the waiting room was full of other pregnant women. When I went for my 6 week post partum appt., there were no other pregnant women- just another post-partum woman (who I knew from my prenatal class) and women who were there for other gyno-related issues (one that we ended up talking with was there for a tubal). I'm guessing that it is set up this way purposefully, because I know I couldn't deal with facing a loss and then having to wait in a room full of pregnant women- that would be so brutal, I'm sorry you had to deal with that

after my second m/c my OB said the same as yours and DH and i was like wait a minute if there is something to be done we want it done now!!! My Ob said NO if i have a third m/c then they would run tests!
On this pg I had an appt with my ob at 5wks and demanded b/w to see if my progesterone was ok and to see if anything else was going on, so every week up until 12 wks i had blood drawn just to check and we had a scan at 8wks and i demanded a scan every week from 14 wks on! My ob had no choice but to except as dh always came with me and said im sure if you had 2 m/c and was told maybe if you have 3 then we will run tests im sure you would flip too!!!
What im saying hun is demand tests b4 you become pg again and when your pg again as its your body and they have noooo right to treat us this way!

I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I remember going to the doctor after having a M/C and trying so hard to hold back tears as all the pregnant women walked in. They should have seperate waiting rooms, I know when I was a nanny most peds had a sick waiting room and a room for well visits. I just feel like after a woman has a M/C society just tells us to get over it, when honestly it just is not that simple. As for getting the tests, If you want them I don't see why your doctor woln't give them to you. You know your body and doctors should listen. After my M/C I asked to be tested for PCOS my doctor was hesitant, but I insisted and she did the test and turned out I was right. Good luck I hope everything works out for you.

Your body - your decisions.
Either go back to the same doc w/ your husband in attendance
and get the tests
or
get a new doctor out of town.
I'd be tempted to go to a bigger city with a referral to a top-notch ob/gyne.
Let us know what you decide.

I think i'm leaning toward going to an RE in Orlando I think that one was about 100 miles away. She seems the best of three I looked into. I'm very upset about how my Doctor is handeling this It's like all she cares about your cituation if your PG. I don't understand why doctors are like this.

As much as it sucks most offices aren't that great about keeping people apart. When I went in for my follow up visits after my miscarriage there were pregant women in the waiting room too. It's not very realistic for a practice with a lot of patients to work their schedules around everyones situation, especially when they're trying to work with your schedule and any unexpected events that could happen in their office. I know that going into a waiting room and being out numbered by pregnant women is rough, but one is going to encounter pregnant women every where. I'm talking malls, gas stations, grocery stores, work.. Even at family get togethers.
